Obituary of Marjorie Elaine Northey
Marjorie Elaine Northey of Ailsa Craig, Ontario
Marjorie was born on May 18th 1931 in London, Ontario and passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on May 16th 2023, two days short of her 92nd birthday. She resided in Windsor, Ontario for many years where she and her husband Richard (deceased) raised their family, relocating to the Parkhill area in 1975 and then to Ailsa Craig in 1987.
Marjorie was a proud mom, gramma and great gramma to her four children, Deborah (Jim), Dale (Carol), Leigh-Anne (Pat) and Lynn (Ron), nine grandchildren, Gillian (deceased), Jocelyn, Matthew, Michael, Shane, Nathan, Cameron, Jordan and Brittany and 12 great grandchildren. She had the gift of the gab, a razor-sharp wit, wonderful sense of humour and relished her role as the conduit for family news. Marjorie loved a game show, was a wiz at Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and was always up for a political debate. Over the years she provided a loving home to countless dogs and cats, and was well known in her neighbourhood for taking in any stray that turned up on her doorstep. Her strength, independence and endurance are an inspiration to all her family and she will be dearly missed.
A Private family service is being held at Nairn Cemetery.
