Obituary of Tom Devine

Thomas Dalton, born in Ottawa on Dec. 8, 1944, passed away peacefully at his home in Rodney with his family around him. Tom was predeceased by his son Douglas, Feb. 13/68, daughter Deborah, June 1/06, his father James Clifford Devine, May 1, 1981 and his mother Ialeen Poor, May 10/04, father in law Bill Ruf, Jan. 13/01. Tom is survived by his wife Eva-Maria (Eve) Devine, daughter Diana Dawn, sister Louisa Moon and brother in law Bill Moon of Alberta, niece/daughter Vicki Ruf of Berkely, mother in law Irma Ruf of Wardsville, nephew Bill Horton of Edmonton, niece Susan Horton, Virginia and numerous aunts, uncles and over 100 cousins throughout Canada and the U.S.A. Tom was also survived by his three grandchildren, Eva Conrad of Newmarket, Becky Adcoe of London and Tommy Adcoe of Chatham. Tom was a kind and caring husband of 47 years, 10 months and 26 days. A loving father to his three children, a great provider and all around kind and giving person. He was a very talented craftsman and could make anything requested given a piece of wood. He had a wonderful imagination and terrific sense of humor. Tom enjoyed nothing better than pulling the wool over his children's eyes and catching them up in all kinds of tricks and gags. He could drive the Pope to drink and the Devil to pray, but he was well liked by everyone and will be sorely missed. Farewell my love, I will miss you until we meet again. Eva Maria Devine. Funeral service will be held at the RODNEY CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012 at 2 pm. Visitation one hour prior.
