Dobroski, Jeanne Lois

Passed away peacefully March 18, 2023, at Trillium Villa Nursing Home at the age of 90 years.

Jeanne is predeceased by her husband Ray Dobroski (1995). She is missed by her children Lynne, Mark (Barb), Adam (Katy), and Mike (Melissa); her grandchildren Sydney (Brenton), Mitchel, Darcy, Jessica, and Sam; her great-grandsons Lennon & Reggie; her special friend Tom Devereaux; and many other family and friends.

Jeanne was born in Bethel, Sombra Township, Ontario, on July 9, 1932, to Jim and Edith Phair and grew up in Froomfield. She graduated from SCITS and later worked as the Office Manager at Abrams Sheet Metal for 25 years. She was known for her love of sports (especially baseball, hockey, golf, and curling), was inducted in the Sarnia Sports Hall of Fame for her years with the Bluewater Belles ladies fastball team, and coached the Forest Boyd’s Ladies fastball team. She is remembered for her delicious cooking and baking, her kindness and friendships with many, and her love for her family.

We would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Trillium Villa for the care and compassion they extended to our Mom and Nana.   Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 12:00pm, with the Funeral Service following at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Contact House or to the organization of choice (cheques accepted at the Funeral Home).
