My mother was one of the best story tellers. We were a farming family growing up . We grew tobacco so as a family spent long days weeding our crop in the fields (the boys, girls were too young) . To keep us not thinking of the time or friends were not able to go have fun with, she would tell us stories. She would talk of her childhood, fables, ghost stories , funny stories, and how she met my father. She kept us distracted just to keep our minds off work. It was a memorable time .
