Obituary of Olga Lewinsky
Lewinsky
Olga “Ollie” Lewinsky (Pinchuk) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 at her home in New Glasgow with her family at her side.
Olga was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Edward Julian Lewinsky in 2009. They married in November of 1958 at St. Diemetrius Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Mississauga. They moved from Toronto to Wardsville, owned and operated the Wardsville Hotel, the Wardsville Golf and Country Club and then, an orchard in Port Glasgow.
Olga is survived by her beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Joanne, Steve and Kelly and Roman and Kim. She is the loving grandmother of Kyle (Amanda), Michael (Amy), Kasey (Rhodri), Brooke, Abby (Mike), Lyndsay (Jon), Sean (Angela) and Laurisa and great grandmother of Noah, Adaline, Ayla, Bailey, Max and Liam.
Survived by her dear sister Mary Lapko, brother-in-law Don Levinsky, sister-in-law Oksana Tsolakidis and lifelong best friend Jane Stechly. Also survived by her fur baby Charlie who comforted her and stayed by her side till the very end.
Predeceased by brother-in-law Bill Levinsky.
Olga was truly the rock of the family. She taught her children and grandchildren how to work hard, take pride in what you do and value the Ukrainian traditions passed down from the many generations of the family. Her home was adorned with an abundance of gardens and flowers that she worked hard to beautify ever year. She was a common-sense, no-nonsense woman who was of strong mind and strong spirit until her last moment.
Olga’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ho, Dr. Munro, Dr. Sikkema and the staff at the London Regional Cancer Centre for the care they provided to their beloved mother.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a public visitation in Olga’s honour on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 6-9 pm at Denning’s of Rodney, 212 Furnival Road.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
If desired, memorial contributions to the London Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. Share a memory at www.westelginfuneralhome.com
