Donald Alister McCallum (1946-2023) passed away peacefully, into the arms of the Lord at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, January 28.  Don will always be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Linda (Vanoverbeke) and his sons, Evan (Stephanie) and Owen (Thea).  He was “Papa Don” to Aimee, David, Benjamin, Lawrence, Taryn, Walker and Camryn.

Don is survived by his three sisters; Elaine Lilley, Marlene Wasmuth and Isabell Whynott and predeceased by his two brothers; Bruce and Kenneth McCallum. 

Don felt fortunate that he was able to farm his whole life.

The family will be planning a Celebration of Don’s Life in the summer.  If desired, memorial contributions to the Diabetes Association would be appreciate as your expression of sympathy.
