My condolences to Ken's family. He and I were childhood friends in Wardsville. Used to go fishing together among other things. Once in the late 50's when we were around 10 or 11, Kenny (no Ken or Rocky then) and I were fishing the Thames. He took an unscheduled trip down the river on a raft I had built. He lost the paddle. He was snared by the workers building the "new" bridge at Wardsville. All's well that ends well. Bruce Watson (formerly of Wardsville)

I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to work with Ken at Four Counties Hospital, for 8 years. We tackled many challenges, together with other team members, and I know that we all appreciated Ken's calm, professional and always helpful nature, including that unique sense of humour. He took a lot of pride in what he did at the hospital, from making sure that all our complicated engineering and safety systems ran well, to ensuring that our grounds and gardens looked as beautiful as ever. Even with all the responsibilities he had as Director of Building Services, he loved getting his hands into the soil in our gardens at Spring time. I received many wonderful compliments about our hospital building and grounds; Ken was behind many of them. We truly appreciated his dedication and generosity. My heartfelt sympathies to Marilyn and the Perry Family. Rest in Peace Ken, my friend.

Ken was a terrific boss to work for at Newbury and his pride in the appearance and upkeep of the grounds was always evident. I thoroughly enjoyed working for Ken and the many chats we had about sports over the years. Deepest condolences to all of Ken’s family. Rob Tait

My son Christopher’s first experience of employment was at Four Countries Hospital in Newbury, under Ken’s leadership and guidance. His career advancement led him to be one of Ontario’s lager facilities manager. He has often said that Ken was the best “boss” that he ever had, and learned much from him during his years at Four Counties Hospital.
