Obituary of Bill Harrower
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Russell Harrower. Bill passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health in Sarnia on December 27, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. He loved spending time with his family and was never happier than when his granddaughters, great granddaughter and their many pups came to visit.
Bill proudly served the Town of Forest for 25 years. He loved entertaining family with his stories of plowing the snow from the roads and sidewalks. He was known by the town for the most curb stops hit and took much teasing for this accomplishment. Bill was also a projectionist for the Kineto Theatre for many years and enjoyed meeting and chatting with the movie patrons and owners.
Bill will also be missed by the many friends made while DJaying dances, running bingos and sitting around the campfire during their many years of camping.
Bill lived his 80 years with an amazing sense of humour and was always up for a laugh. He has left his family with many warm, loving memories to cherish. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie “Midge”; sons Tom (Lisa) and Max (Shannon); granddaughters Jaylyn (James) Wilton, Taylor (Arin) Finnemore, Haile, Erika; and great granddaughter, Emberly. Bill will be deeply missed. A Visitation will be held at Forest United Church, 21 James Street North, on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 11:00am-1:00pm, and will be followed by a celebration of life at the church at 1:00pm.
