Obituary of Jack Tweddle
John Edward James Tweddle
Jack Tweddle passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Victoria Hospital on November 17th, 2022, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Jack was the loving husband of Carol for 56 years. Proud father of Suzanne Lee Tweddle-Gillies (Paul) and Jamie John Tweddle (Pam). Loving grandpa of Emmaline, Olivia, and Sophie Gillies; and John, Brooke, and Brett Tweddle. Jack is survived by his siblings and siblings-in-law Gary Tweddle (Margaret), Ron Tweddle (Bev), Ron Sadler (Marilyn), John McLeod (Donna), and Ron McLinchey (Pam). Jack will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by brother-in-law Jim McLinchey.
Jack started farming at the age of 17, working with his parents. Jack had a wonderful and fulfilling life on his own farm surrounded by his family who worked with him daily. He had a strong bond with his family and loved and supported them through their entire lives. Jack was active in the community, playing and coaching sports. He was also a member of the Athletic Association. Jack loved fishing, hunting, baseball, and hockey. Jack loved all of the special moments with his family.
Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG on Sunday November 20th, 2022, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday November 21st, 2022, at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
