Bill Vandongen passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 29^th, 2022 in London at the age of 88. He will forever be remembered by family. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather (Opa). Beloved husband of the late Anna Vandongen (2020). Loving father of Perry (Sandra) Vandongen, Jack (Susan) Vandongen, Ray (Krista) Vandongen, Norma (Roy) Beynen, and Lesley (Perry) Gallant. Cherished grandfather of Scott (Meaghan), Sarah (Jamie), Tabitha, Natalie (Mahfooz), Evan (Allison), Tiffany (Dan), Brittany, Sean (Katie), Lindsay, Avery, TJ (Brianne), Kieren, Emily (Aiden), Ella, and Lauren. Great-grandfather of Landen, Carson, Sunday, Mavrik, Brooklynn, Nolan, William, Adrianna, Maycie, Caleigh, Brian, and Layanne.

Dad was proud, loving and a considerate man. He had a passion for wood working and loved to help others with any project large or small. Dad was very loyal to our mom to the end. He would hold her hand, walk with her or just sit and watch a show. Their hearts were always connected. Dad took great pride in his teaching career, sculpting his students minds. Always took time for family and friends. Dad loved to travel, dancing, play cards, puzzles, gardening, golfing and biking. The family could always count on dad to help with whatever was needed. Spending his time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren always put a smile on his face. The family expresses thanks and appreciation to the compassionate staff of Kensington Village Retirement home and LHSC Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 4^th, 2022 from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 5^th, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Strathroy. Interment to take place at Poplar Hill Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
