Deepest sympathy on the loss of your dad/grandpa. I only met Roy a few times but, I remember one time we talked a little about fire trucks. Now every time I see one I think of our brief conversation. It's nice to have memories that are long lasting. Again sorry for your loss. Fred

Our condolences to the family.
Our house was one of those add ons that your dad (Roy) did.
He was a man of few words while Charly worked along side him putting on an entire second level!
He would give off a sigh now and again and it would concern me, but l soon realized it was his way of thinking along the way.
Every piece of wood or lumber he had us order was used. I even had to go into my scrap pile of old wood to find that new piece I threw in, because Charly said “Roy had a place for that!!”
I would often tell people “Roy could build many houses out of builders waste today!!”
Charly remembers his many stories while on the fire department. 20 years of the Kerwood Fire Department as Chief is quite an honour and teaching fellow firefighters.
Long time friend of everyone in the community.
He will be truly missed.

Mark and Family,
My memories of Roy have alot to do with our Dad's being such good friends. They were both devoted firemen for many years in Kerwood and were very much involved in many of the Fire Department's fundraisers.
They were also long time Toronto Maple Leaf fans. I remember many Saturday nights when Roy would come down to our house to watch the hockey game. It was very entertaining listening to them both analyze how things were going.
I had a nice visit with Roy at the Superstore a few weeks ago and I'm sure glad I did.
He will truly be missed by everyone in the Kerwood community and there are a little of houses and barns that stand today because of Roy Wardell's talents as a carpenter.
Our Dad's will be catching up now, I'm sure.
Thinking of you all and keep all your special memories close to your heart ❤

Well not sure what I will do on Friday Afternoons. Roy was my weekly visitor in which you may want to be a fly in the wall to here our numerous topics we discussed and argued about but he always left with a smile on his face and not knowing for sure he was any wiser but i always told him he was . All our love and respect to Mark,Margy,Hannah,Phillip,Rebecca and Peter Roy’s sister in law Beth Bennett
