Hoefnagels, Antonius Marinus

It is with deep sorrow the family of Antonius Hoefnagels announces his peaceful passing on May 23^rd, 2022 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, in his 88^th year. Beloved husband of the late Katie Hoefnagels (2017). Loving father of the late John Hoefnagels (2020), Corinna Brown and Shawn (Sarah) Hoefnagels. Proud Opa of Courtney Hoefnagels, Emily Hoefnagels, Alex Brown, Kaylee Brown, Ashley Brown, Nicole Brown, Makenna Hoefnagels, Teagan Hoefnagels, Aidan Hoefnagels, and Leena Hoefnagels. Tony is survived by his siblings Gertie Strybosch, Morris (Willy) Hoefnagels and Joe (Margaret) Hoefnagels and his sister-in-law Mary Hoefnagels.  Predeceased by his siblings Leo Hoefnagels, Louise Terpstra, and his parents John and Anna Hoefnagels. 

Tony was a dedicated lifetime member of the Watford Fire Department, Chartered member of the Watford Optimist Club and was also involved with the beginning of the Strathroy Optimist Club. Tony was a hard working mechanic for many years that led him to always wanting to help others throughout his life. He will always be remembered for his love of his family and he was the most proud of his family who will forever miss him greatly. Tony was always up for a good game of cards and would never turn down a good conversation. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 29^th, 2022 from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
