Sincere sympathy to the Stewart Family. I worked with Lynn for many years at St Joseph's Health Care and every interaction ended positively and with a bit of fun/a laugh. Lynn was an amazing leader and colleague. She leaves an amazing legacy - her beautiful family and memories of her caring approach to patients and staff. Phyllis Brady

Mom.
Everyday goes by without a thought of you.
I still can’t believe it’s been 4 months..
It doesn’t feel real- but I know you are always watching over me, Patrick, and Kyle. And the rest of your loved ones.
I always think about you and wonder how life would be for you right now. … Enjoying time with Myles sipping wine, with your jazz playing.
I will miss the fun you brought to the table- the food, wine, jokes, open arms. You are the definition of love mom.
Your Christmas and every holiday cheer will feel different now- but you are always here in spirit.
I hope you are dancing in the sky to all your favourite tunes.. this year was a hard battle. You are so strong and show me how amazing you are as a role model mom.. I love you and will always cherish this.
You are in paradise now- in the clouds, and the sunshine warming our hearts.
Always in my heart mom. Missing you endlessly.
..Until we meet again.
Keep guiding and watching over us. - I really feel it sometimes xox
Love, your daughter.

To Alison, Patrick, Kyle and Myles. It has taken me this long to process this sad event. When we were kids, both your mom's family and the Marti clan were together almost every summer and most every other event. Life events might have separated us, making the visits harder to do but when ever possible get togethers were memorable. With a lot of laughter and tears. Good food and a glass. Lynn's joy for life and her family were always present. Her love of travail or just running (literally) to the corner store. And making Christmas a major calendar event. Many memories from our Cousins week-ends over the last several years, Her trips with my sister Doris. The joy and happiness she found with Myles. Her love of singing, knowing her, she has the angles sing ABBA tunes. She will greatly missed. A piece of our family has gone. My prayers are with you all.

Dear, dear Lynn. I lost touch with her many years ago but remember her fondly from our days at James Lyng. We ran and played volleyball together. She was a lot of fun and had the quirkiest remarks- one just had to listen closely to appreciate her wit. I remember Lynn and Lisa Russo harmonizing the most boring songs - and succeeding. Lynn does live on because I have adopted many of her sayings to my every day life. A classic and one of my favourites, "It's good for you. It'll put hair on your chest!". I liked her very much and am saddened she was taken too soon.
To her family, my heartfelt condolences.

It is with heartfelt sadness I write to express my sympathy and deepest condolences to those whose lives were touched by our dear, sweet Lynn, I worked closely with Lynn in the Hand and Upper Limb Clinic. She was a passionate Leader. She cared deeply about everyone and worked tirelessly to ensure the best outcome possible in every challenging situation.
Lynn once wrote these words to me: "I want you to not underestimate your long career, which was filled with many blessings, wonderful outcomes, enriching patients' and coworkers lives. You always held a high standard for yourself and others, strived to provide quality and safe patient care." Lynn's words describe her perfectly. Lynn lived by her words everyday. She was my Leader, my supporter, my dear friend. She touched my life. She will be missed and never forgotten.
My deepest sympathy to Alison, Pat and Kyle. Your Mom spoke frequently with such love and pride about you. And to Myles, I am so grateful that you found Lynn and became the love of her life. And to her cherished family and friends who supported her with such devotion. May you find comfort in your wonderful memories of Lynn. Lorna Macaulay

A dear friend gone to soon is a tragedy. But what would have been worse is never to have met Lynn. I am grateful to have been Lynn's friend in life since kindergarten. With this lifelong friendship, I hold so many beautiful and funny memories. I will always be her friend by remembering her with every ABBA song I hear, every Choir song we sang together and certainly everything Christmas. Saying goodbye is not for us Lynn. Instead, I will say until we meet again!!! The Way Old Friends Do (ABBA)
Love You Always,
Lisa Russo

I would like to offer my sincere condolescences to Myles and the rest of Lynn's family. Lynn made a big impact on my career always offering great advice and support along the way. I was lucky enough to have her as my leader since 2009. Even though I had a chance to work quite closely with Lynn and learn things that will help me in my professional development Lynn was a great support for me during my own cancer journey last year and I was able to see a different side of Lynn. I was lucky enough to be able to support her while she supported me. I will always remember Lynn as being very compassionate, full of optimism and always supportive. She will be truly missed by all. Rest In Peace Lynn.

I was fortunate enough to have known Lynn early in my career as she was my professional practice leader for Occupational Therapy. My first experience with her was when she had just taken the job as PPL and had called me. When she spoke she was talking in a Scottish accent. When speaking to one of my colleagues, who incidentally was Scottish, I informed her that Lynn was Scottish and they may have some things in common. Later on I found out by this same colleague that Lynn was in fact not Scottish, but just liked to talk in a Scottish accent. Years later Lynn, this colleague ( Alison) and I would go out for dinner on occasion and have many laughs over this memory.
That was Lynn in a nut shell. She was fun loving and full of life. She had a mind like a steel trap and excelled at anything she put her mind to. She often spoke of her children and when she did, one knew how much she loved them and how proud she was of them.
I was very upset when I heard that Lynn was ill. Through different contacts I was informed of her courage and her positive attitude in light of what had befallen her. She fought hard and lived her life on her terms. She will be missed by many. If that is not a legacy of a life well lived, then I do not know what is.

My sincere condolences to Lynn's family and friends at this time. I have been a member of Lynn's "work" family for a number of years and have enjoyed her direction as leader but also her friendship as well. She was always bubbly and full of energy whenever she was at work. She was so supportive of her staff and was genuinely concerned for each and every one of them. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to know Lynn. She will be greatly missed in the halls of St. Joseph's. May she rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to Myles, Patrick, Kyle, Alison and the rest of Lynn's extended family. As the Medical Director of the Roth|McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre I had the opportunity and privilege of working with her on a daily basis for the last ten years. I enjoyed her enthusiasm and attention to detail. She always put patients first, ensuring that the outstanding patient care we provide was never compromised whatever challenges arose. Lynn established strong working relationships with the staff at Roth|McFarlane and was able to strengthen a strong patient-focused team environment. She approached her illness with an incredible optimism demonstrating an outstanding strength of character. Lynn we will miss you but you will not be forgotten.

I met Lynn in the Spring of 2008 when I joined St Joseph’s Healthcare, London. At that time, she was the Professional Practice Leader for OT. She was full of energy, fun and always “told it like it was”. Our professional relationship quickly became a friendship. We enjoyed many runs and races together. My family enjoyed Lynn’s cooking on numerous occasions. We shared many laughs over our different approaches to decorating our home for Christmas. Her love of life, family and her friends were something she shared with me over the years. I feel privileged to have been a part of her life. Lynn told her family that she was going to return to us as a red cardinal. As I now run on the numerous routes that we shared together, I remember her fondly as I watch for a red cardinal to cross my path. I am grateful that the last year of her life Lynn continued to celebrate life while she fought with impressive strength and determination. These two pictures of Lynn are two that speak to me about Lynn’s love of life.
Lynn, I miss you deeply and feel comfort that you are now at peace.
Your dear friend

In the words of Robbie Burns: “If there's another world, she lives in bliss; If there is none, she made the best of this.
You fought a long and hard battle. You have earned your rest. So many memories of your life, since the time you were born. Other than our baking, especially at Christmas, and the many other things we did together, perhaps the happiest were the ones we spent on the beach here in the Bend. We love you and we will miss you. Until we meet again........
