Obituary of George Walter Morren

George Morren left us peacefully on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital surrounded by his beloved daughter and granddaughter in his 89th year. 

George immigrated to Canada from The Netherlands in 1953, spent the bulk of his years in the Village of Bobcaygeon and later settled in St. Thomas, Ontario, to be closer to family.  Some may remember his grandiose vegetable and flower gardens; it was a passion of his. 

He leaves behind his wife Yvonne, sons James (Joy pre-deceased), Dale, and daughter Lisa; his cherished grandson Marcus, Ruby (Garren), Charity, Destiny and Jesse James George (pre-deceased) and numerous relatives throughout the U.S.A. and the Netherlands. 

The Morren family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff, for their caring and compassion at STEGH. 

An expression of condolence can be made to Community Living Stratford or The Autism Society of Ontario. 

Cremation has taken place and there will be no immediate service.
