Obituary of Donna Grace Elliott
Late Saturday afternoon, March 5th 2022, wrapped in her mother’s afghan and listening to “Somewhere over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Donna Grace Elliott, 90, eldest and last remaining member of her family passed away at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy. Survived by her daughter Sharon (Laura Pearce) of Strathroy, and son Ray of Sarnia; grandchildren Paige, TJ (Michelle), Sara (Chris), Joel (Jas); 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law Lorne and Elaine Elliott, Jack and Deanna Elliott, Grant and Lynda Elliott, Jeannine Wernham. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and especially Star Smith of Michigan.
Predeceased by husband Norm of 60+ years, her family, parents Ralph and Georgina, sisters Shirley Morningstar (Don), Elsie Corsaut (Jim) and brother Stuart: Ray’s wife Willy and brother-in-law Ross.
She celebrated her 90th Milestone birthday last November with a small covid friendly get-together.
Thank you to the phenomenal staff at Strathmere (Parkview Place), working tirelessly through these trying times, and before, when life was fun.
A Graveside service will take place at Strathroy Cemetery on March 10th, 2022 at 11:00am. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
