Obituary of Joe Kolar

Peacefully, with his beloved family at his side, Joseph Kolar of St. Thomas and formerly of West Lorne at the age of 79 passed away at St. Thomas Hospital on Saturday, February 26, 2022.  Dear husband of 58 years of Sharon (McGahan) and loving father of Anna (Dave) Huver and Joe Jr. (Tanya) Kolar.  Joe will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Chris (Emily), John and Nicholas and his great grandchildren; Lucas, Madi, Owen and Raelynn.

Survived by his brother Vladimir (Jarka).  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Predceased by his parents Josef and Ana as well as his brother John (Bette) and their son Jim.

Born in Yugoslavia, Joe immigrated to Canada in 1958 when he was 15 years old.  Joe was well known all over, not only because of his work driving truck and galvanized welding at Budd's but because of his great personality.  He will be remembered by the many people he met during his great life.
