It is with great sadness the family of Ray Becic announces his passing on February 25th, 2022 at Sprucedale Care Centre in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Danica Becic (2020). Loving father of Glenn Becic. Ray is survived by his niece Ivana Petric.
Ray was a successful egg farmer for over 50 years. Ray was a philanthropist, an avid chess player, also enjoyed photography, listening to Big Band tunes, especially Glenn Miller Orchestra. Ray also had a passion for political science, spending his time outdoors fishing, and he was a historian at heart. Ray immigrated to Canada from Croatia after spending 14 years in Australia. He was truly proud to be Canadian and a part of such a wonderful country. Ray’s favourite words to live by “Thank you and God Bless Canada”.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Sprucedale Care Centre for their kindness and care during Ray’s time there.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be left to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY.
