McColl, Ronald George Wayne 

February 13, 1941 – January 9, 2022

 

Ronald McColl of Port Huron, Michigan, formerly of Sarnia, Ontario passed into eternity with his daughter Lendra by his side, on January 9th, 2022 in his 80th year. 

 

Loving father to Michael McColl (Kelly Courtney) and Lendra Ferguson (Steve Cassleman) of Sarnia. Grandfather of Tara Ferguson – Scott (Mike), Byron Ferguson and Samantha McColl. Great grandfather of Madelyn, Lillian Mae and Vanessa Scott. Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Lillian McColl, sister Marjorie Taylor, brothers David and Keith McColl, brothers-in-law Cecil Dykstra, Gordon Quinn, Norman Taylor and sister-in-law Lucille McColl. 

 

Survived by his siblings Carol Quinn, Marion (Loring) McColl-Swain, Lillian McColl-Dykstra, Malcolm (Irma), Hugh (Karen), John (Gail), Alec, Donald (Esther) and his sister-in-law Kathy McColl. 

 

Ron grew up on the McColl farm near Melbourne and attended SDCI in Strathroy. After his college years he worked for Imperial Oil in Sarnia before relocating to Port Huron to work as a contractor for Ford Motor Co. He loved music, cars and sports. Ron supported many mission projects, especially in the Philippines. 

 

A Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on January 22, 2022 from 11:00am-12:30pm, with the funeral service taking place at 1:00pm. An inurnment will take place at a later date at the McColl Cemetery in Eagle, ON. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
