John Robert Manning
October 31st, 1945 – December 8th, 2021
John (Johnny, Little Johnny) passed on to be with his lord and saviour on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, at Victoria Hospital in London Ontario.
John leaves behind a lifetime of shenanigans, and countless heartwarming memories for those who knew him to cherish forever. John will be deeply missed and forever loved by his best friend and wife of 53 years, Gladys. John was a kind, adventurous, loving father to his cherished children Kenny (Lisa), Tammy (Shawn), and a beloved father figure to Jennifer, Jason and Michelle. He had a deep bond with his nephews Darcy and Phillip. John loved being a Papa to Tyler, Jarret, and Christopher, the three apples of his eye. John will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Raymond, Ken, Shirley, Marilyn, and Julia, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
John was always active and offering someone in need a hand. He was a devoted volunteer and member of the Salvation Army London Citadel. John was a godly man who selflessly helped others. He was passionate in his mission to feed and support the needs of London’s homeless, and the Salvations Army’s Kettle Program.
Donations in John’s name may be made to the Salvation Army Centre of Hope, Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Cancer Society or to any local Kettle program.
Cremation has taken place.
