POTTER, Judith Marie (Jude, Mom, Nana, Blondie, Aunt Judy)

 

After a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, Judy passed away at home on October 29, 2021.  Devoted wife and best friend of Leslie Potter.  Adoring mother of Sharon Bartley (Frank), Joanne Probetts (Rick) and Jennifer Donkers (Brian).  Beloved Nana to Darian ,Kayla, Mallory (Tyler), Sydney, Hunter, Sam and Grady.  Light of her life great grand daughter Aaliyah.

 

Judy is survived by her brother Steve Luther (Agnes).  Predeceased by her parents Murray and Sadie Luther and in-law Merrell and Myrtle Jean Potter.  Predeceased by her brothers Bill, Gerry, Norm (Liz), and sister Pat.   Survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Alma Hall (Lloyd), Mary Cates (Gord), Barbara Hayward (Al), Edna Wheeler, Jackie Waltham and Mike Lukasiewicz.   Family was always the most important thing to Judy.  She will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.  

 

Judy had a passion for huge family dinners, cooking, slots, shopping (in the black pant section) and playing cards (Euchre).

 

Judy was a Nurse at CEE Petrolia for many years and then at Bluewater Health until 1998, when she battled lung cancer.  After she recovered, she took a job as a Paramedic Co-ordinator at Bluewater Health and retired in 2008.  Throughout her career Judy made numerous lifelong friends.   A more dedicated friend you will not find.  Special friend to Kathy and Ross Steadman, Terry and Charlotte Lewis, Joan Leatherland, and Pat and Russ Fisher.  Judy was a proud member of the “Snoop Sisters.”

 

The family would like to thank Wendy McKay – Nurse practitioner – North Lambton Health Center,  Dr. Lily and team (Palliative Care), Bluewater Health staff, London Health Sciences Centre cancer clinic doctors and staff, Lambton OPP and Lambton Paramedic Services for their amazing care of Nana.
