On July 12, 2021 at home surrounded by family, as per his wishes, Nicholas James Makinson peacefully passed away in his 80th year. Nicholas leaves behind his wife Barbara of 58 years, the love of his life. Cherished father of Deborah Lines (David) and Daniel. Proud granddad to Natalie (Joe) Meade and Victoria Fewster (Jordan). He will be greatly missed by his 3 sisters and extended family in England.
Nicholas moved to Canada in 1982, starting his business as a gunmaker/gunsmith. He was a dedicated Mason and member with the Rising Star 81 Lodge, Komoka. Nick was a proud and loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be sadly missed by all. A special thank you to the Dr. Chris Hillman, Ryan his homecare nurse, VON e-shift staff and Ray from Saint Elizabeth for all the care and support shown to Nick.
A Visitation and Funeral Service will take place on July 16th, 2021 at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY with a time of fellowship to follow.
