Thomas and Cassie,
It breaks my heart to know that you have lost Thomas’s father so suddenly, and that grief is washing over you both again. Thomas, I have only had the opportunity to meet you a few times in the last year, but in those times I have clearly seen the kind, gentle, loyal, and compassionate man that you are, and I am certain that your father left this world for the next with a great deal of joy and satisfaction about the exceptional man that you have grown to be. I think, too, that he left this world for the next with a sense of peace and reassurance knowing that you have Cassie beside you, and knowing that she will love you, support you, and walk with you for life on the rough roads as well as the smooth ones. He is with you still, watching over you, and so proud of you and Cassie both. Know that you and your family are very much in my thoughts and my prayers. My love goes out to you every minute of every day.
