Obituary of Andrew MacGugan

Passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 89th year on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Survived by his beloved wife Linda (nee Hayden) of Strathroy and one daughter Leslie Ann (Michael) Helwig of Tennessee. Will be lovingly missed by his twin granddaughters Eva and Laura and grandson Samuel. Also left to mourn his passing, his brother Duncan MacGugan and his sister Jennifer Ledward both of England.  Andrew is also survived by his daughter Barbara Wilson and three sons; Malcolm, Paul and Andy MacGugan and their families, all of Alberta.  Predeceased by his father Duncan MacGugan, mother Ann and stepfather Ernie Sprague and two brothers Donald MacGugan and Malcolm MacGugan of England.

 

Andrew was born in Manchester, England and immigrated to Canada on his 34th birthday, April 19, 1966. He settled in Kitchener where he drove bus for Lishman Coach Lines, United Trails, All-Star Tours and Great Canadian Coach. He then drove for Kitchener Transit for 10 years before retiring in 1997.
