Obituary of Maria Veneranda da Silva Serafim Mendonca
It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Veneranda Mendonca announces her passing on January 19th, 2021 at Sprucedale Care Centre in her 71st year. Loving mother to Nancy Mendonca (Callum Ludwar) and Brian (Krysta) Mendonca. Proud Avó to Ashton, Ava, Cohen, Hayden and Lawson. Survived by her brother Joe Serafim. Predeceased by her parents Manuel and Emilia Serafim. She will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Veneranda was a dedicated mother and cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were always her greatest pride and joy. She shared in their accomplishments, both big and small. By all those who loved her she will forever be known as the strongest woman they knew. Veneranda will be remembered for her infectious smile and laughter.
Her family extends its gratitude to the amazing staff at Sprucedale Care Centre for their care and compassion.
A private visitation and funeral service will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY with interment to follow at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery.
