Douglas Hindmarsh

Obituary of Douglas Raymond Hindmarsh

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Raymond Hindmarsh. Unexpectedly, Douglas passed at LHSC on December 30th, 2020. Protective big brother to Sarah Hindmarsh-Carlyle, best friend to brother in law Scott Carlyle, proud uncle to Rose and Ruby Carlyle of Vittoria. Beloved son to late Mary and Clive Hindmarsh of Nairn. Loving grandson to late Paulina and Douglas Hindmarsh of Ailsa Craig, Mary Helen DerHagopian of South Dakota. Nephew to James Hindmarsh of Ailsa Craig, Patricia LaPorta of Illinois, Jack DerHagopian of South Dakota, late Kevin Hindmarsh and Carl Der Hagopian.

Through thick and thin, Andrew Moran was always there for Douglas and over the years they shared a lot of laughs, Marvel Universe and comedy movies; Doug never forgot a movie quote. Doug was a friend to all, but a best friend and confident to Gloria Gombas.

Douglas will be remembered for his love of basketball, music of all kinds; but specifically electronic, his witty sense of humour and mischievous smile. He had a habit of doing what he could to make others laugh at all costs and believed strongly in the importance of family and close friends. Doug would help anyone in need, no matter the magnitude; he was loyal beyond all means.

Due to covid restrictions and in hopes of offering a gathering of Doug's loved ones; visitation, grave side service as well as a celebration of life will postponed until further notice.

If desired, memorial contributions to the Ailsa Craig Royal Canadian Legion or Mission Services of London would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
