Peacefully passed on November 6th, 2020 with her family by her side at Bobier Villa, Dutton at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Thompson (2002). Loving mother of Ric (Dianne) Thompson, Ron (Vicky) Thompson, Jim (Julie) Thompson, Heather (late Bob; 2006) McDowell and loving friend Tim, John Thompson (Amy), and the late Cathie Thompson (1986). Cherished grandma of Mandy, Jeff, Angie, Sommer, Bobby, Steve, Jodi, Jason, Jon, Erica, Hannah, Connor, and several special great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Florence (Rico) and Eunice (Mac). Predeceased by her brother George. Reta will be sadly missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reta was a devoted Legion member at the Delaware and Strathroy Legions. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the homecare workers in Strathroy and the friendships she made and care she received while living at Bobier Villa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 from 12:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. until the time of funeral service at 2:00p.m. Interment to follow at Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Mt. Brydges. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Strathroy Legion Branch# 116 or Delaware Legion #598 or the Bobier Villa staff fund.
