Matthew and Elizabeth,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your precious daughter, Rachel Jolene.
I don't know you or your family but felt the need to share my condolences.
No matter how short a life Rachel had she brought you joy... she was deeply loved... hold on to those precious memories of head rubs, finger holding, story time and music. She was so beautiful...
I know from experience the pain you feel and the grief that cloaks you... it will be with you for the rest of your life... they say time heals... time makes it better... No, your heart never heals... it doesn't get better. What time does is help you manage your emotions better... to be able to speak of your child without breaking down.
I share this with you as a grieving mother. There is no greater loss than the loss of a child. I lost my precious 4 year old son, Leo... though our circumstances may be different, I understand the grief you feel.
Since the loss of my son, Leo, I have experienced many more tragedies. For me, my faith carried me through.
Hold on to each other, Elizabeth and William. Remember the love you have for each other. Your love created beautiful Rachel Jolene.
