It is with such fond memories that we remember Evelyn and John, Keith, Calvin and George.. It was the 1950's when they came from NL to our pastoral charge, Romney Glenwood. Our church, Zion, was one of the four churches on the charge that John served. The Barretts were at our place,( Blanche and Loyd Wright,) almost every Sunday night for supper during those years. It was during John's ministry that I became a candidate for the ministry. When I was assigned to my first pastoral charge in St. George's. Newfoundland, we felt like we knew something of the island because of the many stories that we had heard, even though Bay Roberts was on the other side of the island. Evelyn and John lived such wonderful lives. They were a gift to us and to so many people over the years, true servant of God.
