Obituary of Robert Newton

On Monday December 21, 2009. Peacefully at home. Robert J. Newton of London in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Ada (Willert) Newton and dear father of Betty Clarke and her late husband Don of Exeter, Marion Becker and her husband Randy of London, Robert Newton and his wife Elaine of London and Jane Newton of London. Survived by his grandchildren Cheri (Paul) Smith, Donna (Rob) Welsh, Darryl (Kim) Becker, Chris Becker and Adriane Becker as well as great grandchildren Melanie, Jeff, Karra, Jared and Brandon. Robert will be missed by Kitty, Carmel and Lily. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Gertrude (Lethbridge) Newton and his brother Fred Newton. Robert was a tail gunner in WW#2 with the RCAF and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Sir Arthur Currie Branch #116 Strathroy. Funeral Service will be held at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME 32 METCALFE ST W., STRATHROY on Thursday December 24, 2009 at 10:00 am with Pastor Orland Welke officiating. Visitation prior to service. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
