Obituary of H. Softley

Passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, December 11, 2010, H. Jean Softley (nee Henry) of Strathroy in her 90th year. Loving mother, mentor and dear friend of daughters Barbara Parsons (Leroy) and Marion Fenn. Reunited with her husband James Sr. (1997) and her son James Jr. (1981). Forever cherished with fond memories by her grandchildren Jana Bannister (Bill), Craig Parsons (Dana), Angela Paulsen, Suzanne Fenn (John Dooley), Michael and Peter Fenn, Kristen Softley (Eric Young) and David Softley. Proud great grandmother of Carlee, Jim and Nissa Bannister, Daniel and Jessie Parsons, Molly and Jeb Paulsen, Michael and James Dooley and Jaci and Marlee Young. Lovingly remembered by her sister Ilene Baptie, her nieces and nephew and Keith Paulsen. Predeceased by sisters Florence Hepburn and Edith Hodgins Kennedy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Tuesday, December 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 34 Head St. N., Strathroy on Wednesday, December 15 at 11 AM with Rev. Karen Nelles officiating and assisted by Rev. Charles Seed. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, donations to the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or the Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
