Obituary of Noelle Knell

Following a brief, yet hard-fought battle with advanced liver cancer, diagnosed in early 2010, Noelle passed away on March 23, 2011 in her 69th year, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Born in Les Rousses, France, December 3, 1942, daughter of the late Andre & Jeanne Bariod. Much loved and loving wife of Brian for 48 years, and loving mother of their three children Sam (Yanara) of Komoka, Christopher of Alberta, and Barbra Unger (Greg) of Strathroy. Will be fondly remembered as "Nanny" and will be missed by her grandchildren, Danielle and Luke Unger; and Maria Karla, daughter of Yanara. Predeceased by her brothers Rene, Robert and Daniel. Loving sister of Denise, Raymond, and Marcel, who all reside in France. Noelle retired in December 2005 after 26 years of service at Amway of Canada in London. Noelle enjoyed many years volunteering at her church, and at the Strathroy Hospital, up until the cancer made it too difficult for her to continue. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Strathroy Hospital, and also Joyce, Shelley, Kathy, and Monica of Para-Med, for their loving and faithful care during her illness. Noelle is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W, Strathroy on Friday, March 25th from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church, 4212 Campbell St. N, Lambeth at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wilbert Unger officiating. A luncheon to follow the service in the parish hall. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery at 3 p.m. Donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation in her memory, would be appreciated.
