Obituary of Ernest Laing
Peacefully, on his own terms, Ernest “Ernie” Laing born in Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland passed away at Country Terrace, Komoka on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Sherill Laing (née Wheeler). Proud father of Denise Laing (Phil Holmes) and Kim Laing (Andrew Holt). Cherished papa of Brandon Laing. Survived by his brother James Laing, sister-in-law Janet (Jack) Humphries and brother-in-law Keith (Linda) Wheeler. Ernie will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Ernie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held at White Oaks United Church (1901 Jalna Blvd, London, ON) on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Country Terrace Nursing Home or Alzheimer Society London-Middlesex would be appreciated by the family.
