Obituary of Steve Friedrich

Peacefully at Elgin St.Thomas General Hospital on Tuesday evening, October 4th, 2011. Steve Friedrich formerly of West Lorne in his 97th year. Predeceased by his wife Mary (Fischer) in 1992, his parents Steve Sr. and Elizabeth (Durich) and his sister Katie Felder. Lovingly remembered by his sons Robert (Helen) of Sarnia, Tony (Joan) of Dorchester and David (Mina) of Hamilton. Dear grandfather of Suzanne (George), Cynthia (Arthur), Patty, Mark (Janis), Jessica and Kevin and great grandfather of Kara, Renee, Jasmine and Sebastian. Survived by his sister in law Anne Witzel, brother in law Joe (Sylvia) Fischer and many nieces and nephews. Steve came to Canada from Yugoslavia in 1928 and farmed for most of his life. He also worked at Milner-Rigsby. He will be sadly missed by his many friends in West Elgin. Friends may call at the WEST LORNE CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Friday, October 7th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Marys Church, West Lorne at 11 am. Father Tom Kuriacko celebrant. Interment St. Marys Cemetery. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:00 pm.
