Obituary of Florence Ferguson

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, surrounded by her family on Wednesday January 11, 2012. Florence Jean Ferguson (Riley) of Strathroy in her 87th year. Loving wife of James P. Ferguson for 56 years. Loving mother to William of Kerwood, David of Strathroy and Scott and his wife Jackie of Airdrie, Alberta. Predeceased by her infant son James, her parents Frank and Jean Riley and her sister Helen Jacobi. Florence was born in Goderich and grew up in Chatham (where she met her life long friend Maxine Nimtz) and in Glencoe. Florence was a Registered Nurse who retired to look after her boys. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for their kindness. Visitation will be held at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME 32 METCALFE ST. W., STRATHROY ONT., on Friday January 13, 2012 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church ,Head St.N Strathroy on Saturday January 14, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Karen Nelles officiating and Rev. Charles Seed assisting. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations in memory of Florence to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
