At home on Saturday March 31, 2012. Surrounded by all the people he loved, and after a long illness, at the age of 56. Loving father of Jeremy, Joel and Steven, and beloved partner of Christine Welch. Dear son of Bruce and Lorna Bycraft, and much-loved brother of Tony (Sheila), Janice Dolliver (Ron), and Allyson. Al will be deeply missed by nieces Jackie, Tory and Colleen Dolliver, and by Christine's family: Deanne, Marty (Trish), Greg, and Carl (Cindy) Welch, and 12 grandchildren to whom he was "Grandpa Al." Also survived by his sons' mother, Susan Bycraft. The community will fondly remember Al as a passionate farmer, long-time employee of Coldstream Concrete, 32 year member of the Middlesex Centre, Coldstream Station Fire Department, hockey coach, and dear friend to all. He died as bravely as he lived. Visitation will be held at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME, STRATHROY on Wednesday April 4, 2012 fro 5 pm to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 5, 2012 from COLDSTREAM COMMUNITY CENRE at 12:00pm (noon) with visitation from 11 am. Interment to follow service in Friends Cemetery.
