Obituary of Julia Kovacs

KOVACS Peacefully, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, April 20th, 2007. Julia Kovacs (Raffai) of Dutton and formerly of Rodney in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband James (1980). Born in South Bend, Indiana, Julia followed her family back to Yugoslavia where she met her husband James. Together they came to Canada and raised their family on a tobacco farm in Aldborough Township. Loving mother of Betty Balint and her husband Anthony of West Lorne, George Kovacs and his wife Joanne (2006) of Windsor and Carl Kovacs (2000) and his wife Helen of RR#3 Rodney. Dear grandmother of George (Darlene) Balint, Dave (Trudy) Balint, Maryann (Mark) Johnston, James (Brenda) Kovacs, George (Brenda) Kovacs, Kathy (Vic) Tucciarone, Mary (Ben) Congdon and Mark Kovacs. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the West Lorne Chapel on Monday, April 23rd, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am. Father J. Konieczny C.R. celebrant. Interment St. Marys cemetery. Parish prayers will be offered on Monday evening at 7:30 pm.
