Obituary of Edward Meckevech

MECKEVECH At St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, December 10, 2006, Edward Meckevech of Rodney in his 83rd year. Dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife of 52 years Laura (Lipon); sons Francis Edward and Brenda of Uxbridge, William "Bill" Richard and Diane of Mississauga; grandchildren Ashley and Adam. Ed was a 50 year member of Rodney Oddfellow Lodge #291 having served as past DDGM (65-66) of St. Thomas District, past Grand Marshall of St. Thomas district, past president of the Elgin International Club, past president of Rodney Aldborough Fair Board, past chairman of the Oddfellow/Rebekah Heart Fund and past Elgin County School Board trustee. Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm., Pastor R. Karn officiating. Interment Rodney Cemetery.
