Obituary of T. J. Slaats

SLAATS Suddenly at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury, on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, Theodorus Johannes (Ted) Slaats of Rodney in his 53rd year. Born in London, Ontario, son of Mary Slaats of West Lorne and the late Peter Slaats (1996), Ted was a 25 year employee with Canada Building Materials, West Lorne Plant. Beloved husband and best friend of Shirley (Tremblay); dearly missed by daughters Cindy and her friend Justin Keane of Dutton, and Carrie of London. Sadly missed by brothers and sisters John (Diane) Slaats of Rodney, Harry (Joanne) Slaats of Dutton, Johanna (Gord) Szusz of West Lorne, Mary (Lorin) McWilliams of Clachan, Martin (Deb) Slaats of Rodney and Betty (Dale) Thomson of West Lorne. Also dearly missed by mother-in-law Eleanor Tremblay of Parkhill. Dear brother-in-law to Geraldine Klassen of London, Larry Tremblay of Strathroy and Jeannette Ouillette of Kitchener. Survived by 23 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Father-in-law Art Tremblay predeceased (1979). Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Prayers and personal reflections will be offered in the Chapel on Sunday at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, West Lorne on Monday at 11:00 am., Fr. John Konieczny C.
