Obituary of Alice Laird

LAIRD On Monday, May 14, 2012 after a courageous struggle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our wife, mother and grandmother, M. M. Alice Laird (nee Lacroix) of West Lorne in her 74th year. Survived by her loving and committed husband of 50 years William. Precious mother of Deborah Laird of St. Thomas, Cindy and her husband Lorne Van Breda of West Lorne and Kimberly and her husband Jeff Utley of Chatham. Adored Grandmother of Casaundra (BJ), and Chelsey Van Breda, Lindsay Attridge, Vanessa and Victoria Utley and Great-grandsons Tayvin and Tristan Huguenin. Alice is also survived by sisters Clara (Fred) Fleming, Lorraine (Bill) Lawrence, Rena (Wayne) McCallum, Jeanette Bendell (John), Lenore Lacroix all of St. Thomas and brother Alphonse of London. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Eugene and Teresa, sister Louise and brothers Gordon and Eugene. Friends may call at the WEST LORNE CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral mass from St. Mary's Church, West Lorne on Friday at 10:30 am. Interment Rodney Cemetery.
