Obituary of Margaret Redmond
On Sunday July 30, 2006, 93rd birthday, Margaret Bell Redmond passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of Bluewater Health Center, Norman Street Campus, Sarnia after a brief illness. Predeceased by her husband Orville (1984), she is survived by a son, Mac Redmond (Jane) of Sarnia and a daughter, Helen Keenliside (Don) of Mount Brydges. Loving grandma of John and Ellen Redmond and Kelly (Tracey) and Jeff (Kris) Dundas and five great grandchildren (Ian, Rachael, Sadie, Conall and Shannon). Daughter of James and Mary Jane (McPhedran McElroy, she was born and lived almost her entire life on the family farm near Warwick. She was predeceased by her sister, Annie Dinniwell (1987) and two infant brothers (1906 and 1912). Margaret is also survived by her brother-in-law Jim (Irene) Redmond and her sisters-in-law Marion Smith and May Redmond, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Redmond's interests were focused on her family, her church and her community. She was an elementary school teacher, a life-long member of the Warwick Women's Institute and an active member of St.Mary's Anglican Church in Warwick and later Trinity Anglican Church in Watford. For the past two years Margaret was a resident of the North Lambton Rest Home, Forest where she received very kind care. The family also wishes to express its appreciated for the special care and concern provided by Dr. William Buckton and the staff at Bluewater Health during her recent illness. Visitation will be at the Harper Funeral Home, 232 Warwick Street, Watford on Tuesday, August 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service, also at the Harper Funeral Home, will take place on Wednesday, August 2nd at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kendall Reimer officiating. Interment to follow at Watford Cemetery.
