Obituary of David King

KING, MR. DAVID GORDON Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, May 7, 2012 after four courageous battles with cancer at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 59 years to Lois and father to sons William (Michele) of Amherstburg, Ontario, and Gerald (Barbara) of Canton, Michigan. Loved Poppy of Jodie (Mitch), Rebecca, Stephanie and Samantha. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Marion (Reg) Martindale, Jeanne (Ross) Otterman, Louise (Ralph) Turnbull, Arthur (Sis) King and Robert (Marion) King. David was a well known and respected contractor in the London, Ontario area prior to his retirement in 1986 as a partner with Norlon Builders. After his retirement, David pursued his passion of restoring and showing antique cars and won many awards throughout North America for his efforts. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of One South at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for their tremendous care and compassion shown to David and his family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of David`s life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 11:00 am at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 9 James Street South, Forest.
