It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Veronica Spanton, at the age of 83, who passed away peacefully at North Lambton Lodge in Forest, on Sunday January 18, 2026.

Beloved wife to Don Firman and mummy to fur baby Lucy. 

Loving mum to Simon (Joanne), Tamasine (Greg) and Sean (Charlene).

Dear Stepmum to Doug (Malena) and Jon (Stacey).

Cherished Nanny to Eli, Sierra, Shayne, Derek, Jordan, Rylee, Jamie and Kyle.

Treasured sister to David (Jean) and Jim.

Veronica will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews and extended family.Predeceased by David Spanton and Wayne Leggate.

Veronica loved spending time with her family and friends. You could often find her enjoying the garden, taking a brisk walk or hosting Mary Kay events. If you were fortunate enough, you may have heard her legendary rendition of “My Old Man’s a Dustman”.

As per her wishes, a private cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Veronica’s life will be held at Dennings of Forest on Saturday January 24th, 2026 from 2:00pm ~ 4:00pm.
