Obituary of Cory Jamieson Goetz

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cory Goetz at home on  Sunday, January 11th 2026, at the age of 33. 

Cory leaves behind his beloved wife, Jennifer Larocque and their rescue dog, Daisy. He will be deeply missed by his father- and mother-in-law, Norm and Sherry Larocque. Cory was predeceased by his parents Larry (2021) and Karen (2018).

Cory is also survived by his sister, Cassidy Goetz; his grandfather, Gerald (Geraldine) Goetz; his uncle and aunt, Greg and Susan Goetz; and his cousins, Zach, Brent (Alexandra), Derek (Megan), and his sister-in-law sister Julie Larocque. Cory will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
 

Cory followed in his father’s footsteps, dedicating many years of service to The Co-operators. Outside of work his passion for hockey and baseball was evident through his countless years of volunteering with local clubs in London, Mount Brydges, Komoka, and surrounding communities. Whether coaching, timekeeping, announcing, maintaining fields, or helping in any way needed, Cory gave his time generously and wholeheartedly.

Honouring Cory’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a passion of Cory’s; the Animal Rescue Foundation in Cory’s in his memory.
