Obituary of Joe Hodgins

Joe Hodgins of McGillivray Township, a lifelong member of the Corbett community, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at the age of 72.

Beloved father of Lorna (Jeff) Nieuwenhuizen, Leanne (Trevor) Hindmarsh, and Jamie (Ange) Hodgins. Proud grandfather of Carly (Malcom), Jack, Owen, Anna, Aaron, Hayden, Jazlyn, and Will. Joe was the loving partner of Deb Manders, with whom he shared the last years of his life.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Olive (Ted) Hodgins, and his sister Irene (Harold) Scott. Joe will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and neighbours.

Joe spent his entire life in the countryside he loved, tending to cattle, enjoying country drives, watching western movies and spectating at hockey games at the Parkhill Arena. His strong opinions, and deep roots in the community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

An interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery located at 34800 Brinsley Rd, Brinsley, on Saturday November 8, 2025, at 1pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Parkhill Legion from 2pm-4pm.
