Obituary of David William Venner

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of David William Venner on October 11, 2025, at the age of 66.

Dave was the beloved son of Grace and Victor (1993) Venner, devoted father to Dave Jr., brother to Ken (Sandra) Venner of Dorchester, sister Shirley (Doug) Graham of Alberta, and cherished stepfather to Dana (Melissa), Justin (Christina), and Jesse. He was a proud and loving papa to Emilee, Kohan, Cole, Connor, and Charlotte, who brought him endless joy.

He will be deeply missed by his and by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Dave was predeceased by his loving wife Melody Venner (2016), and his brother Allan Venner (2025).

Dave spent most of his life working as a farm hand, where he found peace and purpose in the outdoors. He was a kind and selfless man, always putting others before himself. His weekends were often spent at Delaware Speedway, where his passion for NASCAR came alive.

David’s warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

An interment will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Strathroy Cemetery at 10am, followed by a celebration of Dave’s life at the home at 23757 Coldstream Road, Komoka, N0L 1R0.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
