Obituary of Peter Wester

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Strathmere Lodge, at the age of 100.

Beloved husband of the late Johanna. Loving father of Petra (Les) Dykeman of Ilderton, Willy Ann (David) Kennes of Ailsa Craig, and Robert (Melanie) Wester of Windsor. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Emma, Nicholas, Ryan (Laura), Jennifer (AJ), Matthew (Jocelyn), Sarah (Stephen), Alex, and Taylor.

Cherished Great Opa to Hailey, Lyla, Lincoln, Alana, Riley, Evelyn, and Hayden. Brother-in-law of Lou Verberne.

Predeceased by his siblings: Wilhem Wester, Agie De Boer, Annie De Moele, Cornelius Wester, Margaret Bakker, Trien Jaspers, Jan Wester, Niek Wester, Marie Overbeek, Afra Korver, and Ton Wester.

Also predeceased by his in-laws: Hendrika Bastiaansen, Hein Verberne, Sien Mikkers, Toon Verberne, Fien Sonnemans, and Jan Verberne.

He will be missed by many nieces and nephews

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 1–4 PM at Denning’s of Strathroy, 32 Metcalfe St. West, Strathroy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11 AM at All Saints Catholic Church with a reception after the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Watford.

Memorial donations may be made to Strathmere Lodge (Recreational Department) or Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.
