Obituary of Larry Johnston
Born in Midland, Ontario, but raised on the family farm in Innisfil, Ontario. Larry met the love of his life and best friend, Heather, at Hunters Beach on Lake Simcoe in the summer of 1967, and together they built a life in Innisfil while raising their sons, Kyle and Shane.
Larry’s passion was building homes, saying that he felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment being able to view the results of his hard work. Larry built 10 homes in Central, Northern, and Southwestern Ontario, with the last project being in Alvinston, Ontario, at the age of 72.
Mom and Dad spent their 60s and 70s travelling all over Canada and the U.S. in a Ford truck, listening to Willie Nelson, spending their winters in Florida, sharing time in the sun while making great new friends.
Larry is survived by his wife and best friend, Heather (née McIntosh); son Kyle and wife Diana; son Shane and wife Christine; grandchildren Evan and Gabriella; and fur grandchildren Arie, Gordy, and Athena.
Larry was loved and will be dearly missed by his family.
