So sad to hear of Doug's passing. Thinking of Nancy and the family during this difficult time. Doug was a great boss, I can still hear his laugh when telling stories from when I was working in his Bus Tour Department. Doug will be missed by many.

Today we say goodbye...to a man who was so much more than a stepfather. You were the one who showed up, who did everything you could for me, and never made me feel like I wasn’t yours.....You gave me unconditional love, and support without hesitation. I want you to know your presence, sacrifices, and love did not go unnoticed...I will carry your lessons, love, and memory with me....always! You fufilled a role that many wouldn’t have, and I thank you for it.
The love Doug gave to us and mom I will truely cherish. You stood beside us, not only in the easy days, but through the hardest ones too. Your kindness, patience, and devotion brought mom comfort and joy. The way you cared for mom is something I will always carry in my heart with great gratitude....and will live on in my memory.
Your love for mom was truly special. You were her partner, her protector, and her best friend.
Their love wasn’t something they shared...it was something everyone around them could see and feel.
I will always be grateful for the way you loved mom .Your love for her, how you cared and loved us go beyond words!....You were more than enough, and I am so grateful that I got to call you....my dad. Love you always and forever.

Some Memories from the Jobin Family:
Doug was a great and caring man—the kind you felt lucky to have in your life. The Jobin family holds countless boating memories because of him: from so many sunrise runs to Key West and all over the Bahamas, long weekends doing Poker Runs, all along telling stories and laughing. Scott always looked up to Doug in many ways from business to personal. Lyle treasured every mile they shared—charting courses, solving any boat issues with a grin, and turning even simple outings into honest adventures.
There was one day in particular Doug happened across another boat on the Intracoastal Waterway and, with that sparkle in his eye he pushed throttles all the way, once he was out in front and edged past the 100 mph mark he finally backed down at the next no‑wake zone.
On another day entirely, the Coast Guard lit him up—he may have missed a no‑wake zone, and after three or four miles of blue lights behind him, he finally pulled over. When the Coast Guard asked him to shut the engines down, Doug—equal parts mischief and mechanical wisdom—smiled and said, “Can’t do because she might not start again.” Only Doug could turn a blue‑light moment into a story that made everyone laugh later—and still tie it to a lesson about preparation, respect for the water, and knowing how to talk with people.
Doug never missed a chance to tell a jolly story from the past and make it matter in the moment, linking it to something you could carry forward. One of his favorite sayings was: “Always leave vacation a day early—so you’ll always want a little bit more.” Doug left us far too early, and he left us wanting a lot more. He was an amazing man, and we are all better for having known him and loved him.

I remember Doug well. When my father worked at Strathroy Cabinets Doug would take the employees on their employer annual trips with one of his buses, a few memorable trips like Detroit Zoo.
He was such a down to earth guy, kind and so good with the people.

My condolences to Nancy and family’s
I’ve known Doug for about 60 years and over that time had many dealings and adventures.
My dad sold Doug I believe 2 of his first 4 buses that he started LANGS BUS LINES with.
I drove bus for Doug , travelled with him and many other things.
At one point Nancy wanted to go racing so Doug got her a sprint car to race at Grand Bend Speedway.
Many stories about that and other adventures.
Doug was a great man and will certainly be missed by all those that knew him
