Obituary of Ian William McDonald

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ian William McDonald on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his home in Thedford, at the age of 62.
Ian was the beloved son of the late Orval (1984) and Gale (2011), and stepson of Dennis Salisbury (2022).
Dearly loved brother of Carolyn (Dave) Brown and Lynn (Ian) Turner. Ian was a special uncle to Derick (Missy), Nick (Misty), Christopher (Michelle), and Kate. He was a great-uncle to Sarah, Cameron, Jolene, Wyatt, Lucas, Allysia, Tamaka, and Zoey.
Ian was a special friend to Ruth and John.
Ian’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the SFA (St. Francis Advocates) community and those who supported Ian at his Thedford home for their care and compassion.
Ian will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside ceremony will take place at the Alvinston Cemetery on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Petrolia Lions Hall; all are welcome to join.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SFA (St. Francis Advocates), Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario, or a cause closest to your heart.
