Obituary of Evelyn Rachel Lancaster
Evelyn, the loving wife of the late Harold Lancaster for over 65 years, daughter of the late Clifford and Amy Tunks, passed away peacefully at North Lambton Lodge, Forest, Ontario on July 28th, 2025 in her 103rd year.
Beloved mother of Sharon Stewart (late Richard) and Janis Lancaster (Steve Cheetham) and predeceased by infant son, Stephen Douglas. Special grandma to Melissa Corfield (Brian) and the late Christopher Walters of British Columbia. Great grandma to Samantha, Dylan, Jackson and Hannah.
Predeceased by her younger siblings, Melvin Tunks, Morley Tunks, Beryl Tunks and Gerald Tunks.
Throughout their lives, Evelyn and Harold travelled to different countries and numerous islands as they were avid bird watchers. Evelyn had worked for many years as a personal support worker in Welland, Ontario and loved this work finding it hard to not use her skills when she originally moved into North Lambton Lodge.
At Evelyn’s request, cremation has taken place, and a private family graveside interment will take place.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to North Lambton Lodge in Forest.
The family wishes to express their gratitude toward the absolutely wonderful staff at North Lambton Lodge for the amazing, loving care that has been given to their mother over the last 18 years.
